Our Story
Our story started when our founder Jennifer went back to work just two weeks after giving birth to her first child, having realised she wasn’t eligible for government maternity pay. Like so many working mums, she wanted to give work her all and be present for her daughter. But she soon found that the world wasn’t built for both.
Jennifer was shocked to discover that over 75% of women don’t return to work full-time after having children, often because of inflexible childcare. Motherhood is bloody hard, and the careers women have diligently built often have to take a backseat. She knew there had to be a better way – and she decided to create it.

Starting in Deptford, we’re creating spaces on every high street in the UK where mums can thrive personally and professionally, while staying on top of family life. We offer high quality childcare, workspaces mums want to spend time in, and the grown-up conversations they crave – all under one roof. Our vibrant community programme brings families together to create a village of support from one mother to another, close to home.
Because childcare needs to be accessible in order for mums to return to their careers without burning out. We’re blending childcare and coworking to create hyperlocal, hyper-convenient spaces where mothers can be present for themselves and their children, if needed, in the day. As well as a nursery and coworking, our carefully curated spaces deliver nourishing food, great coffee, a strong community and masses of flexibility. The Working Mums Club is a place where mums really can have it all.

Memberships and Pricing FAQ
We offer three main options:
- Pay-as-you-go (3-hour blocks) – ultimate flexibility at £65 per session for childcare and coworking
- Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum Membership (3-5 days per week) – combines nursery place + coworking access
- Flexible blocks – buy 5/10/20 PAYG sessions at a discounted rate to use within a month

Our pricing is based on average local nursery costs (around £2,000/month full-time) plus co-working space costs (around £500/month). You get both childcare and workspace for what you’d normally pay separately, plus loads of community and lifestyle perks.
Yes. We accept 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible families, which reduces your monthly costs significantly. See our memberships page for full pricing breakdown with and without funding.
Yes we offer this – we work with YellowNest and Enjoy Benefits and accept the Tax Free Childcare vouchers for our flex sessions.
There’s a 2-month notice period – we want to be flexible to your changing circumstances but also need to make sure our business model remains viable.
