ABOUT

We are currently looking for a permanent home and our popup is launching on Monday 3 March 2025 and is available to book now.

Why we are doing this...

Speaking to mothers, there is one clear unifying factor that prevents many from returning to work after having children – the cost of childcare. On average, a full time nursery place in London is close to £2,000 per month. Sadly, this often means it makes more economic sense for many mums not to return to work after maternity leave. We believe that women’s careers shouldn’t be put on hold simply because childcare costs too much.

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish hybrid, community-led workspaces with flexible childcare for parents, predominantly mothers, where rising childcare costs and long waiting lists are preventing women from returning to their working careers and restoring financial stability for their future.

Our Mission

Our aim is to help more women back to work after maternity. This is why our fees include childcare and our coworking space, making us more affordable than full time nursery for both.

Our Goals

1. Supporting mothers in their journey back to work
2. Providing affordable and flexible childcare for working mothers
3. Making maternity a fairer time for mothers in the workplace

our team

We are all mothers with lived experience of working and raising children. We know the struggles, the juggle and ultimately the joy. Experts in our own fields - from graphic design, HR to fundraising, we are building a team of incredible women who all believe passionately in the vision of The Working Mums Club.
