Friendly Faces: Meet the Team Behind The Working Mums Club

When Jennifer started building The Working Mums Club, she knew she couldn't do it alone. What began with her trusted ride-or-dies has grown into an incredible team through chance meetings and recommendations – or perhaps fate. Every single person here is absolutely dedicated to making TWMC a brilliant place for working mums and their little ones.

Jennifer

Our fearless founder managed to break her ankle this summer while on a family road trip to Ireland with her baby, pre-schooler and partner. Has that slowed her down? Absolutely not. She’s been working flat out to get TWMC built and open ever since – all while wearing an orthopedic boot. What a legend.

Jennifer is the visionary behind TWMC and much loved by all of us. We celebrated her birthday together in September at our favourite local Vietnamese restaurant, and it was wonderful to finally spend IRL time together as a team.

Recently described as “a beacon of calm authority” by the team (spot on, really). She’s the amazing glue that holds everything together, and we love her very much. At home, she’s also managing her toddler’s intense fascination with cutting fruit – kiwis in particular, with child-safe knives of course. Manager of our Marketing team (and a whole lot more) at work, Manager of Kiwi Operations at home.

Sarah

Mum of three kids between 2 and 9, living in Reading with her hands perpetually full. We felt very lucky to get her all to ourselves for a day in Deptford recently! Take a look around TWMC and you’ll see traces of Sarah everywhere – she designed all the murals on the walls and most of the posters and artwork around the space. We’re so lucky to have her.

Our admin queen who makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. She went on holiday in the summer and Jen nearly had a menty-b. Claire is going through a big life change right now with her daughter heading off to university – we can’t quite imagine how that feels. She’s full of wisdom as a mum who has been in all of our shoes.

Claire

Rose

Lives by the sea in Brighton but she’s in Deptford at least every fortnight, so you’ll most likely bump into her (if she hasn’t already invited you in for coffee – she’s friendly like that!). Her children are both in primary school, so she spends a lot of time facilitating playdates and running her eldest around to his various sports activities. As well as writing our content, she’s been busy setting up some exciting after-school activities and careers workshops. Watch this space for announcements coming very soon.

Looks after all our HR needs. She recently went to a spa and came back with the flu, which was very unfortunate. Luckily she fought off the bugs and is now back on form to deal with all our half-term annual leave requests! Lisa makes sure we’re all well looked after, which we appreciate very much.

Sajna

If you’re on our waiting list or have booked a tour, chances are you’ve already met our nursery administrator. She’s such a gentle, calm soul who all the babies adore. She’s also a trained teacher choosing to home educate her daughter, which we applaud her for (but don’t envy her!).

Joined us recently as our nursery manager, and we couldn’t love her more. She cares so much about our nursery, and it’s amazing to see. She spent last Sunday creating colourful sensory rice and cloud dough for our messy stay & plays, and sent us a video with the most soothing voiceover. We all slept well that night.

Elizabeth

Diogo

The only man on our team, but somehow he fits right in! He makes an incredible coffee and his attention to detail is second to none. He’s a very dedicated dad who totally gets the juggle – and it’s actually great to have a male perspective in the space, sometimes!

(also sometimes called Claire – her first name!) – Grew up in Mexico and went to university in Spain where she met her partner Diogo. Now, when they’re not with their daughter, they run our cafe together. Maria has a wealth of experience in hospitality and will make you feel at home whenever you drop in for a coffee.

Maria

This team is the heart of The Working Mums Club. We’re all in this together, making sure you have the support, flexibility, and community you need to thrive. Come say hello – we can’t wait to meet you.
